Hi! I'm Emma,
Director of Dance Garden.
Dance has been my place to come home to. In times of disconnection, it has offered me a way back into myself — a companion, a quiet inner dialogue, and a kind of compass that helps me listen more closely to what my body is asking for.
Throughout my life, dance has been a source of comfort, joy, and safety. It has helped me discover and relate to different parts of myself, and to find ways of moving that feel nourishing rather than depleting. From a young age, I knew I wanted dance to be something that could sustain me across a lifetime — not just something to achieve or perform, but a practice that supports how I live and relate to the world.
This understanding shapes the way I offer Gentle Rhythms of Renewal. I come to this work as a dancer, choreographer, educator, and Registered Dance Movement Therapist, with experience across community, education, and healthcare settings. My approach is grounded in care, consent, and thoughtful design, creating spaces where people can move at their own pace, listen inward, and reconnect with what feels supportive and true.
I hold dance as both an art form and a resource for wellbeing — a way to honour the body’s messages, cultivate playfulness and connection, and move in ways that align with our values and how we wish to be in the world.
